I have a set of replica mirrors, but at just over £20 the pair I don't hold out much hope for them not vibrating or falling apart.
I have seen the real thing for sale, but never in this country.

You can get those reps to work pretty well, just takes a bit of lateral thinking.
Get hold of some stick on wheel balancing weights, heavier the better. With the mirror adjusted as far as poss to one side you can just about flex the plastic far enough to slide the weight in and stick to the back side of the glass. Do this to all 4 compass points and they will be vibration free upto about 80mph which is about as good as the originals.

Thanks Warren.
I have a strip of those weights somewhere, I’ll give that a go.

I don’t know if my cheap pattern mirrors are different to yours, but it soon became clear that I was going to break the glass before I got behind them to add weights.
New genuine mirrors are available from the USA but very expensive with tax and postage. On a hunch I put the part number into the Cradley Kawasaki website and there they were! I ordered a pair, nothing more frustrating than unecessarily fuzzy mirrors particularly when I’ve already spent so much getting the bike as good as I could make it. They were £ uncheap as you’d expect, but from all accounts a much better product than my cheap knockoffs, which I’ll keep in case of accidents.

Re: Genuine Toyo mirrors for Z1-A
There are a couple of different types of repo mirrors - there are ones that are mounted in a bit of plastic and ones that are mounted in metal and rubber and isolated just like the originals. At a Scottish rally one year we went round for half an hour looking at mirrors and realised this. The ones you need aren't always listed a Zed mirrors. The ones I have were listed on ebay as Vulcan mirrors or something (this was a few years ago) but were identical, and rubber mounted like the proper ones, only they had short stems. I swopped the stems with the vibratey ones I had long stems and hey presto. Job done. I gave the short stemmed vibratey ones to someone who had a job for them. Basically you need to see a metal bit in the mirror housing, not just black plastic.
