Don't see these advertised anymore. My budget only extends I think for a project bike. I don't know much about them but it will be a cast wheel model around 1980. Pic for example. Cheers

Great bike, I had one( my first big bike) rode it everywhere and went to my first TT on it. Alfa pipe with no baffle sounded awesome.
RMB 909V, long gone I'm sure.

Absolutely brilliant little bike, bought mine new from Steve Hartleys in Warrington late 1979.
Quite why Kawasaki decided to fit a drum on the rear for the Z550A model is beyond me as the rear disc set up looks loads better.
B1 model no pinstripes or brake line splitter cover, B2 had both.
This is my old Z500.

Don't see an option to "like" individual posts, but if I could I'd "like" all replies I would! Pic above of the z500 with nose fairing I think is the current "dream"

First pic. Pretty damn dirty eh!
There is a headlight, but glass broken. Also Rickman fairing and bracket, don't think I'll keep that as spoils the lines. I guess that's why it's got drop bars. Also half of origonal exhaust.
Purchased from Belfast Kawasaki TOI 4747. More to follow

Looks like a fun project!
I've the baby version - Z400J3 as my first (and never ending!) project.
I've a workshop manual on PDF, which I'm pretty sure covers your bike.
If you want a copy, drop me a line.

when you strip the carbs make sure the spring loaded choke flaps have still got the springs attached because if you rev the engine with the choke on it breaks the spring & is then sucked into the cylinder
