Z650 Cast Front Wheel

I have a 19x2.15 seven spoke cast wheel. It’s not a Kawasaki wheel, maybe a Melba, not sure, but very much the same as the Kawasaki ones.

Have you had any luck finding the wheel you're looking for ?
Theres one or two on e-bay just now which would "fit" (e.g. John Browse has a Kawasaki 19 inch 7 spoke alloy listed) but I'm guessing you're looking for the exact model Z650C wheel - this wheel is different from all the other Kawasaki alloys and was ONLY fitted to early the Z650C. Theres one of these listed just now in the USA but it's expensive by the time you pay the shipping !
I'm guessing your original wheel has a "flat" edge shape to the side of the rim - not the usual "J" or beaded edge ? Also the middle of the rim profile between the spokes is more rounded - not squared off like the more usual ones. So far as I know, the Z650C1 (first model) was the ONLY Kawasaki motorcycle with this wheel style.
I have a pair of Z650C1 alloys but would prefer to sell as a pair....

Your quite correct its the flat edge one i need so at present i have fitted it with one off a different model
with the lipped edge, i would most likely be interested in both your's as i have another C model project for

I can see the 650C rear at the right of the last pic and the pair I have are the same style. What sort of price are you looking to pay ? I have stuff in storage which takes a bit of work to get to and last time I sorted someone out with a wheel he tried to bid me low and I ended up putting it away again ! I should ask how much of a hurry you're in for the same reason, I'll need some time to get them out !
Another idea would be if you had parts to trade ? I'm more into Z1000's than 650's these days - although a decent 650 tank might come in handy (!) Have you got anything you might want to trade ?

Nice old 650c ! - Looks very clean !! Original paint on the side panels and tailpiece ? Most if the standard parts are there ! I doubt theres many folk know about the different wheels on this model - so far as I know this was the first "standard" production model with the 7 spoke alloys.....the US Police 1000C and early 1000B Ltd had a similar flat edge rim design - but not exactly the same. Kawasaki changed the rim design shortly afterwards. My old 650c didn't look quite as clean though, or standard, with black paint, a 750 engine and a 4 into 1 when I got it. That one ended up with a modified Z1000 engine fitted and in the end, 17 inch ZZR wheels and modified suspension - a long time ago now ! Those wheels I have are from that old bike and have been in storage since the early 90's. Let me know how much you're willing to pay before I get them out. They wont be "mint" but they're straight .... so assume "in need of a good clean / refurbish - and I expect the back one will have the wheel bearings removed !
