Z650 carbs

A friend of mine is working on a what sounds like a bitsa z650 with knackered CV carbs. I don't know the year.

Has anyone got a usable (or repairable) set of carbs they are willing to part with?

Are earlier slide carbs (24's I think) interchangeable with later carbs if the rubbers are swapped too, or are the ports and hole spacing in the cylinder heads too different? It's running pod filters apparently.

Sorry if this is a bit short on technical detail - I don't know much about the 650's and I haven't seen the bike.

Many thanks,

Olly

All the 650,750,900,1000 and 1100 aircooled four motors use the same inlet spacing on the head so lots of scope for carb swaps.
The distance between the boot mounting holes on the 670/750 is slightly narrower so the boots for the 900's etc need the bolt holes both equally elongating slightly inwards to fit the 650/750 heads.
The earlier vm24mm slide carbs and boots are of course a straight bolt on affair as are the 750 carbs including the 750 zephyrs.

Nice one, thanks, I'll pass on the info.
