Glav send me a picture of your side stand - mine doesn’t have that part at all.

How are you getting on with it? Mine is nearly done…

Same set up on my J2. There's also a plate that controls the side stand override switch.
With the bike on the side stand you can start the engine, if you lift the bike upright the side stand springs back a bout 15 deg and the side stand switch kills the engine unless your pressing the override switch on the LH controls. Once the sidestand is fully up you can release the switch and the engine continues to run.

On mine the top spring attachment is welded to the frame

I've a used one from a Z400J, it has a different part number, although the part numbers sometimes change.
Anyway, if you want to try to see if it fits, get in touch, we're both in Belfast

Mine looks like this spring actor is welded to frame. It’s an R2 as well so there must be two types as Will says

Ah OK, my J2 side stand uses the same mount bracket along with a seperate sprung loaded plate to operate the stand kill switch.
It's quite a clever set up.
The bike will start on side stand but unless the override switch is depressed as you lift the bike upright the stand will spring back about 15 deg and kill the ignition. The stand needs to be fully up before you can restart it. Two springs on the stand itself. A further small spring that fits onto a seperate plate which is fixed by the stand bolt with the other end of the spring connected to a multi position brake light style switch.

And just to throw a curve ball, this is a mates R1 that I did the paint for but zoomed in on the LH switchgear and his does have the over ride switch.

Hi.
My B2 has the same set up with the overide switch and stopper. In addition there's a bolt locking washer under the stand bolt head. This is an original item ( 92022A/C ) shown incorrectly in the parts manual as being behind the stand.

Kwackman, I'll DM you. That looks like the part I need. I think I sourced one on Ebay of a shaft drive. We4'll see when it gets here.

Why don´t you take this one?

www.ebay.de/itm/285806029505?

Just to clarify:
The parts you show belong to the side stand of the German, Swiss and Swedish versions.
The technology is strange - if the bike is not on the stand, the engine should be turned off. That was very disruptive. You can also see it if you look at the left handlebar switch. There is a small red button that should bypass the kill switch. But that rarely worked even in the 80s. This side stand also has two springs, while the other versions always only have one spring.

Cheers
