I've got 3 or 4 sprocket carriers. Not sure if there is any difference between on for the Z1R and other Z1000 variants?

I think the later z1000 carriers are different.

I have a 1977 sprocket carrier if that is any use to you.

I assume it’s for Spoke wheels?

I have one for mag wheels if you haven’t found one yet.

They are deeper for mag wheels, not much but they are deeper.

Hi guys.
I have a 1000A2, and want to fit a set of std Kawasaki mag wheels.

I have just bought some 1000 MKII wheels from a mob in Germany, but a lot of the hardware is missing.
Basically, the front wheel has bearings in, so should have the spacer in there (I'll replace bearings).

Will my existing outer spacers & speedo drive fit with these mags?

The rear wheel is bare, no bearings, spacer, sprocket carrier etc. So, I need to know if any of my existing spoked wheel hardware will fit, and will need to buy whatever else is required.

Any advice / offers of parts for sale that I'll need much appreciated.

These are the wheels I bought..... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256288728486

regards

Jon

Welcome to the Z1 Forum Jon
It looks like most here have missed your question.
Normally its best to start a new post.
However Mk2 type Mag Wheels on an A1 should be easy BUT you need ALL of the matching spacers and sprocket carrier.
If your front wheels has the bearings and spacer, just check the circlip is still fitted and your old spoke wheel spindle -speedo drive and spacer (and dics) all bolt together easily.
At the back, your old wheel bearings and circlip are probably the same (I can't guarantee - its been a long time since I've looked) EVERY OTHER spacer and also the sprocket carrier are different to what you've got - and these items seem to be getting hard to find. Your rear spindle and calliper will fit (when you put it all together, check the calliper sits central over the disc though - an odd thin washer here or there can sometimes be needed matching up 45 year old parts). You need the Mk2/Z1R sprocket carrier - inner and outer spacer plus the spacer that sits between the brake calliper and wheel and also the spacer between the bearings.
You could post in Wanted on here or if you know somebody with a lathe, there are probably people who can give you the dimensions to make some.
Anyhow,I hope this information helps.
Best of Luck.
I'm not a regular here any more but I'm sure other members will help out.

Thanks for the welcome and reply Dave.

So it looks like I may already have what I need at the front end (once I replace the bearings).

But I need everything to populate the rear mag (sprocket carrier, and all spacers including the centre one between the bearings).

I will post a wanted ad as you suggest.

Jon

Hi James, thanks for this. Who is Dk??,

So if you're right, I will only need the sprocket carrier, and the spacer between the bearings (I currently don't have this, at least not without pulling the spoked wheel hub apart, which I don't want to do.

Were the cush drive rubber segments the same?
