Needing a seal for Z900a4 speedo or tacho if anyone has one, the seal that goes between the two halves of the clock, where the crimp ring holds the two halves together. Managed to butcher one quite badly when dismantling them. Would take a scrap speedo or tacho if anyone has anything, cheers.

Just cut a new one from an old inner tube. If you don't have one your local tyre fitters will have plenty in the rubbish bin.

I could do if I cannot get one. It's a while since I pulled them apart, but from memory, there is a thin lip groove on the seal that goes over a lip on one half of the body to locate it. Re-assembling the clocks and crimping the ring on will be fiddly enough without trying to keep the seal in the right place.

you can buy sheets of sticky-back closed-cell foam in various thicknesses - I've just bought a sheet of 3mm thick to fit between a rear light lens and the body of the rear light unit for my special build in progress. Being sticky backed, it will stay in place till you crimp it up I guess.
