Yes, I know an OEM one would set me back a bit but you never know?

Just to give you an idea:
I have sold two NOS '76 sets in the last 18 months, both were over £3k. I had a really nice used set which were as new and they went for £2700.
If you're going to ride your bike I'd stick with repro.

Thanks for sharing, yes I am pretty sure that is the way I’m going to go now. Probably going to order a set next week if nothing turns up as they’re not a great deal of money in the scheme of things.

The only problem with aftermarket sets, I believe, is that the headers are not double skinned like the original ones were and as such you will get discoloration of the headers. Don't understand why they do not double skin them as the aftermarket sets for the CB750's are, so can't see why they do not do the same for the Z900's?

I bought a repo set from Zpower, for my Z900 A4 not sure if their Delkevic or not but chrome is excellent, done about 500 miles now and no discoloration to front pipes so far. Of course even repos arnt cheap, but obv cheaper then genuine ones.
I also bought a set of Delkevic for a Suzuki GT750 i restored a few years ago, rode that for over 3000 miles again no discoloration.
Perhaps it depends how hard you ride it?
