nice bike wanted

#1 PostAuthor: bakey » Fri Nov 21, 2008 11:03 am

Hi guys, Andy here again and I want a nice bike, (obviously it will never be as good as Big Fluffs...so he tells me) but this is the kind of bike I'm after:-

Z1, Z1A, Z1B, Z900, Z1000A1/2, Z1000H, Z1R, Z1000R, Z1100R or something similar. I would also consider a Mk2 (A3/4), a Z1000J or GP1100ZX (unitrack model) though I do prefer the earlier bikes.
I would prefer the bike to be in or very close to standard spec and in good condition. I'm not after a showroom condition bike, just something practical with real classic status that I can enjoy riding and tinkering with. I have cash waiting for the right bike from the right person. I'm losing interested in bikes on eBay as I'm sick of being let down and messed about.!

So, can anyone help a budding enthusiast on his way to his first big Zed.?

Thanks, Andy.

I am possibly considering selling my Z1R due to having too many bikes and not enough room, It a genuine UK bike with the long rear mudgaurd and ive owned it for 5 years, Its all original paint and I have gradually got it to BOG standard (apart from braided hoses and hagon r/shocks) Clocks restored by Mr Rivett. The condition is very good, not immaculate but looks correct by not being over restored. It has mot and tax. I guess if i were to sell I would be looking for around £4500ono.

PM me if your interested

A mate of mine is looking to sell a Z1000 Ltd i sold him about 3/4 years ago. It's on Ltd cast alloy wheels (16" rear) but i fitted Z1A bodywork so it has that older retro look! Has a Vance & Hines low drag style 4:1 and K&Ns fitted. I think he's lookin for around £1500 with MOT. Give me a call (07702 732530) and i'll put you in touch if you're interested.

Cheers John

right lads

decided that no matter what happens about the other bike...id still quite like another.

This time a bit more specific though. So it will have to be a Z1 Z1a or Z1b with the standard exhausts please :D

its got to be 4-4

Hey, Andy, that's the way to go. Why buy one when you can buy two? :D
Four pipes rule, anything else is second best.
