Exhaust

#16 PostAuthor: Exhaust Craft » Sat Jan 17, 2009 5:58 pm

The firm who we use for our phone lines has gone bust,we have moved to another firm, hope they are ok,this is probably why some people have had trouble getting through, when calling phone just rings,i have started blasting and powder coating, when i am in the blast room i can not answer the phone as well, for some reason with our new phone system we can not recall the last number that called us,which is a bastard.
As for the exhaust to sump clarance,i spent ages adjusting the downpipe length so the collector is as close to the sump bolt as is practical, the bolt sits between the top two collector stubs,my collector does not have a hammer indent in it either.
Cheers David Yeowart www.exhaustcraft.co.uk

Exhaust

#19 PostAuthor: Exhaust Craft » Sat Jan 17, 2009 11:06 pm

I use a Z1000 A1 frame with a 1000 motor in it as a jig,i make every exhaust and make sure they all are a good fit,,I should not have a problem with fit as they are made on a bike not a bench with stops brackets etc etc.
A guy come to see me at my stand at the Stafford show who races a Su***i Gs1000,he was on about N***** Hyde - Harris, aparently they had a firm making them but they did not fit very well and had other problems with them, this is why the Harris systems are not available at the moment.

Orderd a system off Dave from Exhaustcraft. Asked him if he could make it shorter for me he said not a problem. Makes a change for a firm to do what you want rather than what they want you to have!! :D Top Bloke  Brian

I had a Preditor on me old Z1A..... came with it when I bought it :??
It was s/s, bit not best quality... looked naff too
The downpipes came down level/parallel, then into a strange collector that exited at the right side (in a triangle shape) :!:
Managed to swap it for a re-chromed standard system (+ had to give him a std ignition system to sweeten the deal) He just bought a brand new 4:4 :|

And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!
