1982 1000 LTD seat wanted

#1 PostAuthor: mentalturbo » Tue Feb 24, 2009 10:12 am

Hi there,
new to this site but not to bikes!! :D I need a seat to finish off my rebuild, anyone have one to sell please? Would prefer a reasonable one to just bolt on and go, but a solid base essential. It is the stepped pan one i'm after. Also, missing on mine, there must be a bracket of some sort that fixes to the battery tray? :?? , which serves as the bottom lug mounting point for r/h side panel. My no. is 07799653347 if you can help or leave me your no. here,
thanks, Paul.

Paul,
There is a bracket with a fixing for the bottom lug on the side panel but it is fitted using the two bolts which hold the rear master cylinder. Hard to find this piece but should be easy to make one. They are the same on the z1000 a1 and a2 and possibly others. Can send you a picture if you get stuck.

The battery box bracket on the LTD (K) is the same as the 1000J and Lawson models and is totally different to the early Z1000 models.
