Workshop Manual
Thinking of getting a WSM for my 1979 Reg Z1000 A2 - The only Haynes manual I can see states its for "900 and 1000 Fours from 1973 to 1977" - is this still the correct one for my bike ? Although my was Reg in 79 I assume it was actually a 1978 build as it defo one of the last A2's - Cheers all

Re: Workshop Manual
Thanks and aware of the stuff on line at Zed Rider - Really wanted to know where to get an actual paper manual for a 78 Z1000 A2 ?
Re: Workshop Manual
Anything but haynes!!
Clymer are ok
Clymer are ok
Re: Workshop Manual
Haynes manuals are inaccurate. Clymer manuals are better but not brilliant. Kawasaki workshop manuals are the best and do come up on eBay from time to time.

Re: Workshop Manual
as Chris and Adrian both state:haynes manual is piss poor n not fit to wrap a shite in.you will never beat a real factory K manual. I'm/was a collector of them for decades and have a spare to cover the a2, also 3 or 4 others I'll be offering to fellow clubsters soon., since joining the z1oc I've had much more pleasure parting with them to needy owners than i ever had dusting them off so give me a pm alanb n that'll be that . cheers mark

I couldn't agree more. The Haynes manual I've got, supposedly for a Z1000, is absolutely, completely and utterly useless (you get the idea?) but the original Kawasaki manuaI bought from you Mark is just...perfect.
Thanks again, Roger

Re: Workshop Manual
kind words indeed roger, unfortunately for me, you robbed me of my only 1st edition 1976 a1 manual.doh!!! seriously though, as we both know it's in its right place now.i wish i had another but maybe if you're thinking of writing a will you could keep me in mind before the mrs takes everything down the boot sale with your old flares, magazines etc?? cheers mark
Re: Workshop Manual
Thanks all and after a bit more thought, I've decided to buy a used Kawa manual via EBay - Although it's in Oz, my son is living there right now and I will be over there soon too so he will buy it and saves uk postage and duty etc.Happy days !!
