zr750 Zephyr Front Wheel Spindle Dimensions

#1 PostAuthor: v70z650 » Fri Jul 12, 2019 3:06 pm

Hi

Can anyone tell me the overall length (when screwed down), length of the head and nut and length of the spacers on a zr750 zephyr front wheel spindle / axle?

I had a really obscure front end on my z650/gpz750 build - I think it is from a japanese import zx400F1/gpx400?? (but not certain) with very strange twin 24mm piston (both the same size) tokico brakes that I cant lock down to any model!! So I have now swapped the forks and brakes for zr750. The forks are the correct distance apart and the wheel is the correct width but the spindle and spacers dont seem quite right, e.g. the spindle pulls the forks together when tightened and the wheel isnt quite central. I have searched the web for the zr spindle dimensions with no luck...

Help me Z1OC, you are my last hope... (sorry - starwars reference!)
