Quick question regarding front brake adjustment brought on by -
Earlier today a biker who had been behind me from Wessington stopped next to me at traffic lights in Matlock & shouted over "When that car pulled out in front of you - you had no brake light"
so I guess it must be quite noticeable.
I have checked the brake and the light does come on - but only on the last bit of lever movement.
(I know I can get round this by always using the rear brake in conjunction - but I do not always do that)
I need it to come on earlier. I have put silicone spray on the lever to ensure everything is moving freely there.
So My question is - Is the point when the brake light operates adjustable? (as the rear brake is)
I have had a quick look in the manual and realise the switch is screwed into the hydraulics and am thinking the 'fix' is to install a new switch (part 43065 001)
Thanks for any info
Cheers Kevin

Re: Z1000 A2 Front Brake
the only thing you can do is replace it as it works of hydraulic pressure or it could have an air lock in the splitter
Re: Z1000 A2 Front Brake
Kev, my z1000a2 had the same issue this year. I put a new genuine switch in and it now seems a lot better.
Re: Z1000 A2 Front Brake
Ok that's reassuring Scott - I think I'd best get my order in.
Hopefully installing the part should not present any issues
Cheers
