Bottom engine mount
Been fitting new mounting plates from PMC on my Z1000A2, 3 are in place but I'm nervous about tackling the bottom one as it looks a tad tricky getting the tear shaped nut back in. I have the standard exhaust fitted and can't see an easy solution that allows me to do this without taking the exhaust off. Any tips or tricks that I might be missing? Thanks everyone.
Re: Bottom engine mount
Tape the tear nut to a narrow piece of stiff card the offer this up from behind the exhaust.
Slide the bolt in and turn it while trying to line it up with the hole in the tear nut.
After some cursing you will eventually fall lucky and the thread will "take".
Once tightend up, yank the card down and out (in one piece if you're lucky).
Worked for me on A4.
