I'm finally rebuilding my Z1-B (lockdown does have some advantages!) Does anyone know if Kawasaki glued the rubber grip onto the throttle twist-grip (assy part 46018-025)? When I removed the rubber grip to clean it and the twist-grip there was a sort of green-grey residue on one side of the twist-grip. If they did glue it does anyone know what type of glue it was?
Also, I am assuming that the two cable clamps welded to the underside of the airbox bracket (the one that screws onto the battery box) are to clamp the main loom so that the brown 6-pin connector on the loom can reach its counterpart on the electric panel (centre loom). Would this be correct?
Many thanks for any help.

Hair Spray works well - it has lubricating properties whilst in the liquid form (as you spray it on) - then sets like a mild adhesive!
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

That's why there should be loads of "unused" tins of the stuff laying around?

Thanks for the help guys, especially to Pigford. The hairspray trick worked perfectly (at least it all turns together for the moment). I'd post some pictures of the progress if I could work out how to add images since the demise of PhotoRipoff.
Any further help re the loom under the airbox would be a bonus as it's going there tomorrow.

Re: Throttle rubber glue?
I’ve always used the golf grip method . Cover the plastic twist grip with double sided tape . Spray the twist grip with electrical cleaner solvent and push the grip on quickly and adjust straight . After a while the solvent evaporates and grip is stuck on . Tiger Woods

You can just attach them straight from your phone or computer. Keith's How-To is at the top of the Discussion Board.
