Z1100r Swing Arm

#1 PostAuthor: Skid Mark » Sun Mar 07, 2021 11:48 am

Hi Lads,
Can anyone confirm if the 1100r swingarm is the same as the 1000r.
I did look up the part no's on CMS and they are different, but I'm don't know if this is the last word on this.

According to CMSNL the 1000R1 and 1000R2 are the same as the J models. https://www.cmsnl.com/kawasaki-kz1000j1 ... ETDTtynyUk
The J model swing arm is different to the 1100R1. The 1100R1 arm is; longer,(by about 20mm) it has larger / deeper cast brackets at the back that are welded in the tubular arms, it also has bracing at the front. Cant say if the length from the front pivot point to the shock mounts is different but could also be longer.

Thanks Lads.
I had hoped they were the same, but thought that might be asking too much. :down
