Hi,
I have purchased a pair of replacement ignition coils, on checking the resistance they are 5.3 ohms. Will these be ok to use, if so do I have to remove the ballast resistor and also what is the other component by the horn which the ballast resistor is connected to?
Thanks in advance.

I believe ballast resistors are only needed on low ohm coils, you remove it when using Dyna 3ohm coils.
