Hi, as a new owner of a classic Z1B can anyone help me with some initial questions please?
. What do members believe are the best tyres to use and what sizes?
. What portable manual security devices (disc locks, chains etc) will fit and are recommended?
. Is there a simple to fit and unobtrusive/subtle 'flyscreen' to help make higher speed riding more comfortable without spoiling the great looks.
Finally is anyone aware of any history relating to my new purchase - KAJ109N?
Thanks in anticipation

Hi Mate,
Tyres are very personal, you’ll get ten different suggestions on here, I always used Avon’s, but as I said, it’s personal.....
Security stuff, use Thatcham approved if it’s affordable.
Fly screen?.......please don’t.

Hi ZEDREB
welcome to the club!
Tyres are indeed very personal, I prefer Bridgestone Battlax BT46 (used to be BT45)
I never lock my Zeds, I park them where I can see them when I make a stop during a ride. But if you mean to secure it when she's in a garage, use a good hardened chain and lock.
Ride your bike without a fly screen, a fly screen will only spoil the look of the bike. Enjoy the wind on your body while riding but take care, flies can make nasty stains on your teeth when you smile while riding that great bike .
Before I forget: show us some pictures of your bike please.

I use Avon Road-rider's on mine and they do the job well, though on some of the local roads it can still get interesting even with good suspension and a well braced frame. Say no to fly screens
