Good Evening All,
I have a reasonably clean A1 which I’ve had for a number of years.
When I got the bike it was fitted with a decent set of 5 spoke OZ wheels which were ok but weren’t my favourite so I found a nice set of 7 spoke 4 bolt Kawasaki alloys which came with all the correct spacers etc to enable me to fit them to the bike, see image below.
Over a number of years I have found a really nice pair of OEM spoked rims with what I believe to be the correct numbers and over this winter I intend to strip the bike and fit the spoked wheels along with my new Busso exhaust system bought through the group buy.
So, questions I need help with.
Will the spacers, collars and other mounting hardware I’m currently using for the 7 spoke Kawasaki alloys allow me to fit the spoked wheels?
Will the existing Cush drive rubber and sprocket mount also work with the spoked wheels?
I’ve tried to cross reference the part numbers on CMSNL and I’m reasonably confident the front may be ok, however, the rear is less clear cut as I’m not exactly sure which bike the 7 spoke Kawasaki alloys came from.
I’d be grateful for any input from the forum.
If it becomes clear that it won’t work with the existing hardware, does anyone out there have all the bits I’ll need to fit the set of spoked wheels?
Many Thanks.

Hi r3sc
the front wheel will go, just plug and play!
the rear wheel won't be so easy: you'll need a sprocket carrier and a spacer on the right hand side (between the hub and the brake), destined to be used with a spoked wheel. Perhaps the drive rubber can be used, I'm not sure about that.
Good luck with the rebuild.

I fancy going the other way (spokes to alloys), let me know if you decide to sell

Hi Philippe, many thanks for the info. I’ll get on the lookout for a rear sprocket carrier and spacer!
Hi relisysxx, that’s a great option and I may consider that once I’ve seen the bike with the spoked rims. Thanks for your consideration.
