H4 headlight conversion

I'm wanting to convert my 900A4 headlight from the original sealed beam, firstly because it is a US and dips to the wrong side and secondly, I like to use an H4 led bulb on my old bikes as it not only give a bright light ,but only uses 18 watts so lite on the charging system, I am wanting to keep the original headlight and rim so I was looking at inserts, I was not wanting to fit a Chinese one so I was wondering will a lucas 7" or one like this eBay item number:294496118554. fit OK or would any from a later Z fit. Thanks.

Pretty much all 7" headlights can be fitted with zero or small mods. The 7" classic mini headlights have swoppable bulbs and a sidelight fitting.

used the mini one on mine as was in the same position, no difference just slotted straight in
