Re: Resgistering an imported z1 help
Morning.....relatively simple and surprisingly quick process....I've just registered another z, registration cert. back in two weeks.
Insure it on the frame number.
Get dating certificate from vjmc, kawasaki UK or the like......unless you have a South African reg. certificate.
Complete a form V55/5 which is downladable from gov.uk.
NOVA certificate to show you have paid the VAT etc.
Photocopy of both sides of your driving licence.
Send all that plus £55 to DVLA and Bob's yer uncle......
You don't need Mot certificate or photos.
Good Luck
Pete

Re: Resgistering an imported z1 help
I've done a few now all over 40+ years so no need for insurance or
mot to register
I always included a full set of photos ( n/s.o/s front back Speedo engine number and frame number) with the application and so far had none return for further details or request an inspection.

Re: Resgistering an imported z1 help
Can you get away with just the Nova number, bought a bike on here and the Nova and title have got lost in the post but I do have a photo of them.
Re: Resgistering an imported z1 help
Nova number is all DVLA need, no need for paperwork to prove. Worth checking with nova people, (hmrc), that the vin number matches what they have on their data base, its got to be exactly right. Email is best, very helpful people.
Re: Resgistering an imported z1 help
Thanks, fortunately the bike was imported by Nigel (Ultim8pc) and he still had the Nova on a email so all sorted now.
Thanks for the reply.
