The battery has given up on my A4 after about 5 years (pretty good I think) and now doesn't hold a charge, so I'm looking at a Mottobatt replacement, but from the photo on Tayna's website the terminals don't look standard, are they?
https://www.tayna.co.uk/motorcycle-batteries/motobatt/mb10u/
My little 72 XL250 Motorsport has a 6v Motobatt and the terminals are just wires coming out of gel sealant and are a phaff.
Cheers,
Andrew

Re: Motobatt Terminals?
there are normally brass mounting lugs that screw into the battery that you then attach the wires to.
Re: Motobatt Terminals?
Yeah I had a Motobatt on my ZX6-R and it was OK but doing those terminals up tight is a worry as they seem likely to break. However, at one point I needed to borrow the battery for my Triumph (it's the same battery) and then I replaced the one on the 600 with a Yuasa AGM one, which has 'normal' terminals and was slightly cheaper than a Motobatt. And isn't yellow... and has proven very good.

Re: Motobatt Terminals?
Got a Motobatt on my A4 Andrew and no issues ......other than it's bright yellow. Use a piece of black plastic behind the battery clamp to hide it !

Re: Motobatt Terminals?
I have one on my z1b and harley, no problems at all, the good thing about them you can screw the wires onto the terminals either on the top or the side.

Re: Motobatt Terminals?
Thanks folks, useful info
My A4 still has the battery tray so hopefully it'll hide the yellow. If not it's out with the black platic or tape as I can't find a black MotoBatt.
Cheers,
Andrew

Re: Motobatt Terminals?
Have had motobatt batteries on my Z900A4for approx 22years and no issues and the correct one is MTBX10LA2 because A4 standard battery box has bracket above battery for snorkel from air box so MTB14LA2 or YB14LA2 or whatever battery company number will not fit, they fit earlier models but not A4 or Suzuki GS1000or ZX10etc. He this helps.
