#1 PostAuthor: Foxfix » Thu Aug 08, 2024 2:41 pm

Can any experts out there confirm if a Z900A4, 4 into 2 exhaust would fit onto a 1981 Z1000 Ltd. ??

Thank you

Yes but you might have to "adjust" your brackets.

I bought a z900A4 Kerker to put on my J model some years back. It did not fit because the frame downtubes of the early bikes are nearer to the head than J model ones. This makes the first straight before the bend of the early exhausts shorter than those of the J model ones. That said; i dont know what the frame geometry of the LTD's is like and it may be nearer to the early bikes than the later ones like the J1,2,3 Z1000R and Gpz1100B's. A simple measurement of both original and intended, from a known fixed position to the frame down tubes would likely say more.

No your not Graham but all the early 900/1000 models had the same exhaust port spacing and diameters so are all interchangable bar the rear hanger mounts. So it's kinda of irrelevant wether he's talking 4/4 or 4/2
