Im restoring a bunch of brake masters and splitters along with calipers for both the z1 and Z1000, Anyone got any leads on the paint or coating used on the masters? It looks like a dark plum, near black, that fades to the near golden plum that we all know. Any help on
this would be a solid. Angus.

Re: Z1 Brake master paint.
Angus,
The original parts were anodised in black satin and there are people out there that offer the process.
Some restorers now Cerocoat them which is more durable than paint.
Regards
Steve

Sound lads, satin 2k it is, I use that Simoniz on bits a pieces, tough paint straight out of a can for sure. These are all original parts so I want to stay close to factory finish as I can but sure the real process is probably lost in time.
