Do original mirrors have any identifying marks? Or are they just heavier than pattern ones?

Top one in my hand is an early one, later is missing the brass insert. The lower one is a knock off. Hope this helps Dave. Angus.

My tuppence worth is that the originals are much better than OEM. Because they are heavier, they vibrate a lot less than repro at any speed over 50 so much clearer visibility of what's around you

I'll have a look at them tmrw, thanks for info, agree re weight I have a repro one on the Z900 and it vibrated like hell, silicon into the gap round glass and it was perfect.
