Fuel hose.

#1 PostAuthor: ianali » Mon Mar 31, 2025 1:31 pm

What is recommended for replacing the short hose from fuel tap to carbs? Am I right that it’s 8mm? Mine has perished I think partly due to it being such a tight bend. Is there something a little more flexible ?

Cheers,

Ian.

Internal diameter is 6.4mm or 1/4 inch. Just a thought, you could fit a flex stainless steel spring over the fuel line to get around the bend.

make sure its resistant to ethanol in petrol - I have a notion that it should have a "J" as part of the code number on the side. (If I've got that letter wrong feel free to correct me)

If you are not worried by non original looks, go for tygon, it's clear yellow but you have to have wire spring around it as it has a tendency to kink, I use it on mine.
