z1000st seat base rubber dampers missing ?

#1 PostAuthor: Mrg » Fri Apr 04, 2025 4:41 pm

i have had new seat cover made but missing some rubber buffers from the base at the tail piece end the hole top left can see the mark where the rubber was like the one bottom left of pic what about the other two holes same buffers ?
this is an aftermarket (fiberglass base) seat z1000st
If some can send a picture of the same area and measure the height above the base these rubbers are would be of great help in finding replacements if different.

In cases like this I usually get a chunk of blu tac or kids plasticine and stick a chunk over the hole on the seat base and then close the seat, re open and measure the squashed thickness remaining. You can assess the size and shape by looking at the rails that the plasticine blobs made contact with.

Fitted the seat base with all the panels and tank removed to get a clearer view to find only one rubber is actually doing its job think I'll buy the set and will have to cut them to fit and drill new holes as this is an aftermarket seat the rubbers are different

Just found this on the forum can now see where the rubbers should be
