fuel tap rubber seal/oring

#1 PostAuthor: sweptail » Thu May 08, 2025 11:54 pm

Hi,
Due to a drip, i took off my fuel tap on my a4. After removal i found a demolished rubber seal or o ring in the big nut that screws onto the tank. There is a groove inside the nut for the seal. Does anyone know the diameter of this seal? It is beyond measuring. Thanks Tommy

Can't tell you size but is this the part you need? Relatively cheap and available.

The required rubber seal is a stock item at Z-Power.

don't be tempted to use an o ring that's the right size. the seal has flat surfaces top and bottom where it presses against tank flange and tap face flange

thanks Gray i was indeed tempted to use a O ring, but got the right flat one instead. Now i have unscrewed the bowl and a piece of hard rubber came down:seal completely goosed. Could i try a ordinary O ring in there? or is it a shaped seal? Tommy

I think that's a round section O ring ( but I'm sure I will be corrected if wrong)
