#1 PostAuthor: stusco » Mon Jun 30, 2025 3:22 pm

It turns out i need a couple of webs for my crank (3rd in from the ignition and the flywheel web) are there any other cranks i can use for parts? There’s one on ebay but has already been welded (can this be rewelded ) it might be junk as well ,how has it been stored the pic show it all dusty ,i tried asking some questions but got told it was stored away and i would need to buy it first .

There are three, as far as i know, models with the Unitrak 1100 ZX11 engine and crank. Unitrak, 1100R1 and the later USA spectre 1100.
The labelling, descriptions, identification of some of the Unitrak (UT) cranks on ebay seems quite misleading in some and plain wrong in others!
That welded crank may be salvageable but the cost of un-picking the welds could be prohibitive.
That said; it looks to have been done professionally and may be OK just as it is.
It is the same situation i was in and many others too i guess, damned if you do etc etc.
I dont know enough about them to tell you if the (general purpose 17mm cranks) from the otherJ models share pin sizes in a way that would let you change webs over from early to late with perhaps the only difference being the physical size of the conrods. Crank builder may have an idea.
