#1 PostAuthor: SVENLEATHER » Sat Jun 28, 2025 12:56 pm

Hi Zedders,

Can anyone tell me the differences between a Z1000 J2 and J3. Ideally with pictures.

Thanks

Sven.

The easiest way to tell is by the clocks. The J2 has 2 separate clocks and a fuel gauge in the middle. The J3 has an instrument pod like the Z1000R.Also the speedo drive on a J2 is electric, mecahnical with a cable on a J3

Spot on, also carb tops are round pressings and chrome plated, not squared off. Headlight/indicator holders different too, not ears, and top fork yoke casting is different.
Eight valve grunt.
