GPz11 Uni front wheel bearings

Cleaning up the wheel ready for new bearings and I'm stumped. FSM says remove the clips from each side, then remove the speedo drive and punch the bearings out, if I'm reading it right.
However, on the speedo drive side the circlip is behind the speedo drive which is stuck fast. It's also slighlty deformed but not beyond repair.

Am I missing something or has someone been here before......?

if you clean the grease off, it looks like you can see the big dark grey circlip with the 2 holes for your circlip pliers. Remove the circlip (might be stiff in its groove so take your time, use WD40, just do it a little more each time so you don't end up destroying the holes) then the speedo drive plate will come out ( if its deformed you might need to wiggle it a fair bit.) Then once that's out, you can work on straightening it out with a hammer and a socket to reform its correct form then the bearing should drive out from the other side with a long drift.

I think what he is saying is that 410964 is goosed and is stopping the circlip from coming out? If this is the case gently tap the circlip so it spins around to the area that is going to give the circlip the most space to come out. You might have to give it a few persuasive taps to get it to rotate and a heavy duty circlip remover.

Thanks chaps. I was over thinking it. I thought the silver lip obscuring the circlip was another clip. Didn't realise it was part of the casting until I saw Angus' pic showing the the two 'lugs' on 41064. The centre sleeve took some persuasion to move out the way to get the drift in and the speedo drive needed redressing to make it round but a wheel brace socket was the exact size. All done now.

The usual cause for 41064 being deformed is that ( when refitting the front wheel and tightening the axle nut) the speedo drive tabs not being engaged with the cut-out slots in 41064, the drive tabs are deep behind the speedo drive's oil seal so you don't realise they're not lined up, so you tighten it up in the "wrong" position
