Z1000 H - Fuel Injection - Engine no.s

#1 PostAuthor: njwmct » Sat Feb 07, 2026 11:48 am

Hi Everyone,
As far as I know the Z1000 H1 engine no.s should start : KZT00HE-......
I believe that this type of fuel injection engine was fitted to an America only model known as the KZ10001G / Z1 Classic - with engine no.s that start KZT00GE-......
My Question is were any Z1000H's likely to be fitted with an engine no. starting KZT00GE-...... from the factory?

Gents, please forgive me for asking but do those "G" motors you have in your "H's" have a cylinder head with SMOG PORTS ? (Exhaust Gas Recirculation ports) My accumulated understanding from experience is that "H" motors do not have Smog Ports and the H was not intended for sale in the US. The "G" was intended for the US has a full EGR system with the ports in the head.

I have parted a few G engines with no smog and dont think i have seen a G bike with smog fitted. Maybe because the fuel injection negated the need for it
