Like Chris says, we will need a bit more info.
Was it a runner when you bought it? If so, is this a recent problem?
If it was a non-runner, why?
Are you riding it with lights on, if so does it blow bulbs?
I can lend you a colour wiring diagram if it's any help?
Four pipes rule, anything else is second best.

If it blows the fuse after a few miles...............
#1 could be loose wiring (connecter/joint, etc)....
#2 could be bare wire shorting....
#3 could be reg/rectifier Donald Ducked....
:??
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Thanks, was wondering if it was a common problem with an easy solution...guess not. Not a fan of electrics...will check connections and if no good find a man who knows these things!!
