how many tins off enamel pj1 frame paint would it take to do a desent job of mi frame(z1) and has anyone got some they dont need,i dont expect out for nowt,so what would you want for them.

I'm using the Extreme Chassis Paint system as supplied by Frost Automotive. 400ml aerosol cans - around £15 each so not cheap - but very good stuff.
If you're only doing a frame and not all the ancilliaries you should get away with one can of primer and 2 cans of topcoat.
I'll be posting a report on spraying on my 73 resto thread in the next week or so - in case you're interested.

It comes in a 400ml can, available in either satin or gloss.
Sperex label it as "super tough, polyurethane, anti-chip paint".
I have done many engines and fork legs and it really is tough! After 18,000 miles on one of my other bikes there's just a couple of chips on the fork legs.
Paul Scanlon even commented on the superb engine finish on the Saxon.
Personally I can't recommend it enough, it's the dogs danglies and I won't use any other paint!
