Just buy the fuel line from Debben's, it is great quality at a good price, I bought 4 feet of it, and have done the Z1000 and the R80.
Highly recomended.

I just want to make sure I get the right quick release couplers.

Pigford - how did you make the coupler fit on the short fuel line? Just run the line longer over the top of the inlet rubbers?

Pablo, I'll be honest, I haven't fitted 'em yet
Gonna use 'em on me RedZed project, but it'll be early next year before I'm ready

My worry is that I gather these couplers are around 40mm long. The only way this is going to fit on the shorter fuel line is to make the line much longer and lay it over the top of the rubbers - but will this cause other problems that I haven't thought of?

Has anyone fitted QR couplers?

Pablo, the QR things I've got are actually 50mm, not including the barbed bits the hose fits on

Well, I'll have to run the line under the tank, heading to the other side, then double back then down to the carb feeds :??
There should be plenty of scope to fit the QR's in them somewhere
Theres plenty of room under the tank, and as the fuel height is above the lines, the head of pressure should bleed any air out :|
Suck & see i suppose :green

He hadn't actually thought of that :!:
Putting them over the inlet rubbers will probably cause problems with heat. It would be better to try and route them around the back of the carbs or underneath them.

Actually Richy-know-it-all, I was gonna run them thru a cooler too :ek
Good point tho, will err towards rear of tank, may need at least 3 or 4 foot of pipe at this rate :|
