As has been already pointed out there's two things about pricing. The volume produced and what the market can stand/expects.
The Doremi 4/4 kits are better value as you're getting more for less. But this is a mass produced product which sells in reasonable numbers worldwide.
All the peeps producing the 4/2 are small specialist companies making them by hand - this simply is not a cheap as mass production.
Are they priced based on what they think the markeyt can stand? Who knows..
Any system will need to be of a decent quality. There is an Indian company who can make some 4/2s for us and they would be cheap. But the quality is crap...
