Ideas

#1 PostAuthor: BShaw » Wed Jun 10, 2009 4:00 pm

Any ideas, my Zed has been running rough on tick over and up till about 1/3 throttle (well it seems ok after that anyway), I have traced it to #2 cylinder. I have swapped plugs, cleaned pilot jets and swapped leads, I have a good spark, obviously I can't guarantee that the pilots are cleaned properly as I have no kit, but before I start buying things I thought I would have a punt on here. Carbs are RS36's BTW, I have electronic ignition and have tried a mix of new and old plugs... What do you lot think.

Hi
Just traced the same fault with my Z1R.
It was damaged manifold rubbers on 3 & 4
Replaced with new rubbers and clips.
Job done.

Good luck

Baza, could be running weak on that cylinder. while its running squirt some wd40 around the rubber manifold and see if the revs rise, that indicates its drawing in air.
