is this a factory colour? or just a respray if so any ideas what colour it may be?

the z1000a1 did come in burgandy, i take it thats the a1 with the calipers forward of the forks.

Look a little like the 77 Z1000 A1 factory Diamond Wine Red.

Tank pinstripes have disappeared so it's obviously been resprayed.

It looks a little dark to be Diamond Wine Red to me !

end result in mid 83' by then had Z1R rear disc, Koni shocks, drag pipes (highly sort after now) went arse up in remote Kunnunurra W.A. had too much scrumpie cider check out front rim where I hit a pot hole sold for $600.00 95,000 klms that bike WAS indestructable to that friggin pot hole showed up. bought a Z1300 A5 next Hench
