GB. The part No. 4302 on your piston does indeed denote Wiseco 75mm 10.25:1 CR.
They may look like really high comp pistons but as Rich says, the combustion chamber went much deeper on that model, so the compensation was to increase the height of the crowns.

Thank's Will, I guess these will work fine in a standard (i.e. not turbo or supercharged) engine? I do hope to run the fuel injection though!

you can still run the injection, but you may need to increase the fuel pressure.

Is that a fairly simple job involving that fuel regulator that sit's below the throttle bodies, or is it some major re-mapping job which will cost loads & cause me a lot of grief?
This engine had the injection fitted when I removed it, although I have never heard it running.
You've got me thinking that I should possibly reconsider carbs :??

i did it with an adjustable pressure regulator and a inlne pressure gauge. it is a be hit and miss as you would need to adjust the throttle position sensor after you alter the pressure to keep the tick over mixtures right. it is a piss about or you could set it up on a rolling road

Bear, you can go down the adjustable FPR route as BGB has mentioned. Another route is to pick up a second hand PC III Power commander of ebay (about £50 maybe less). This can be wired alongside the stock ecu and once you have a dyno read out you'll be able to adjust the fuelling throughout the rev range.

Thanks Pasc,
That sounds like a good option, I think I'd still need to buy the parts & give it to someone who knows what they're doing
Just off to have a quick dabble on ebay :D

Hi GB my Lawson with a J /GPZ motor runs an 1170 wiseco big bore kit with mikuni 36mm flatsides with no probs whatsoever and the torque is un belevible.

Out on the road you can stick it in top and leave it and it will pull from almost any revs , carbs are worth thinking about . enjoy
