z1000 tacho needle slow

#1 PostAuthor: Zederbie » Sat Nov 21, 2009 9:19 am

I have a tacho on a Z1000A1 where the needle is slow to react to the revs, looks like it needs a full strip and damping sorted out but before I go that route does anybody know of an easier fix or have a spare tacho ?

Needs a full strip to sort it, mind you I had mine done by Chris Rivett last year, full refurb on tach and speedo, tacho has now developed same fault again  Z power selling pattern tachos for about £70 so that could be an option if absolute originality is not an issue.
