Hi Adam, had about four hours of this exact problem today with FlabbyZ1R's sidewinder.
To be fair he has very modified Tarozzi rear sets on.
Kick start hits; brake arm; sidewinder and brake pedal (the bit on the end at full swing)
Brake arm hits sidewinder.
In his case he has had the brake arm cut off (broke off actually) and welded back on in a straight line going foward so it runs
inside the line of the exhaust.
His kickstart lever has been re-made with a double 'S' bend in it. It looks very very odd. It will have to be re-done as it wasnt strong enough and bent then hit the brake pedal again!!
What would you get if you turned the footrest hangar upside down and inverted the rubber? Is that possible?
Looks like it would put it just above and in front of the brake arm pivot point if possible at all!!!!
Straighten the arm so it runs inside the silencer and rotate it anti-clockwise on its spline to lift it up a tad.
The 'J' arm looks to be a little shorter whilst similar in other respects. The foot 'pad' is approx level with the two screws (one above the other) at the rear of the clutch casing. I can measure it if it helps.
Say goodbye to the kickstart lever.
Buy some size 17 Ronald McDonald shoes to use the brake with
Cant think of anything else from what i saw today its going to be tough using standard bits.
