Most of you will be aware of the club's shim swap scheme, for the larger shims to fit all Zeds from the Z1 right through to the Z1000J.

This has not included the smaller 13mm shims, fitted to Z650's 750's GPz1100 Uni-Trak & the 1100R

That's all changed! I recently bought approx 200 13mm shims from Z1bman & have managed to persuade Jerry to stump up for them!

I am happy to run the Swap Shop for these smaller shims (Contact Jerry for the larger shims) & I propose to run it like this;

Send your old shims to me, in a Jiffy bag or something similar, along with a return label & a large letter stamp & a note saying what size replacements you need & your membership number. I'll then send you back the required shims.

This service will be free to paid up club members (I will check :wink: )
It will also be offered to forum only members, but will require a 'donation' of £1.00 per shim swapped. All donations will go to Phil's fund at the MNDA charity.

As a forum-only member I would like to buy (or swap) a couple of 13mm under-bucket shims
I note that you are a ginger bear in the woods - do you have a post-code, please?
Thanks for the service.

Thanks, GB.
After sorting out the hiccup with the head/barrel joint's o-rings, I will soon be sure of the shim thicknesses that I need.
What address do I send the old ones to?
Thanks again.

Just a quick update on the 'stock' situation. :roll:

I now, no longer have any 2.05 or 2.15 shims available. Plenty up at the fatter end of the scale, just seems everyone wants/needs the skinny stuff for these aging motors.

Perhaps we need to find someone that can offer a valve tipping service :?
