Hi Lads.
I have a KZ1000 77 A1. I have definitely come across projects where lads cleaned the inside of their Carbs (Jets etc). Can any one point me in the right direction and save me hours trolling through the posts. (Not that I don't like it, just a bit busy)
I didn't want to completly strip them down. The bike is running ok. Its just a bit of a flat spot around 3-5K.
Thanks in advance
Jim.

Cellulose Thiinners will clean old petrol gum off carbs - especially if you soak it a bit. Be careful to remove plastic and rubber bits first though cos it attacks them.

I use a thinnest guitar string to check jets are not blocked, plus some carb cleaner spray with a long nozzle.

Look in the genuine service manual at what passages link to which jets and when you spray the cleaner make sure it is exiting the correct hole(s).

Check your float hights are even before sticking it all back on the bike  it's easier.
