Unlucky with a puncture on the Zed this morning. New tube fitted but those rim security bolts were a bugger to refit. SO being a lazy git left them out. ooo my poor fingers...:( I know they are there to prevent the tyre creeping round the rim with possible tube rip at the valve entry, but are they really necessary and dodgy if not fitted. Standard spoked rims fitted to bike.

Any views?

Depends how smooth the inside of your rim is. Mark your tyre and rim to keep an eye on tyre creep, don't forget to rebalanced it.
