Rear wheel spacers [again]
I am fitting genuine Kawasaki alloy wheels to a Z1000 A1, and still having problems. I got an alloy wheel sprocket carrier from Piggy, now when I tighten it all up the wheel locks solid. The caliper is free so I think that side is OK the centre spacer is the one that came with the wheel so that one is OK the ones I have used on the sprocket side are from the wire wheels. According to Partszilla they are the same as alloy ones, but still no joy. Can anyone advise what spacers I need or does anyone have any they want to sell, I don't mind trying to buy some from Ebay but I just don't know what sizes. Hope someone can help. Sean.
Difficult diagnosing from a distance but are you getting any clues when you fit the wheel ? are you having to " spring" the swing arm to get everything in or is the arm "pulling in " when you tighten stuff ? have you changed the bearings and are they sat fully home in the carrier does it spin freely until to clamp it up is the spacer between the sprocket carrier and the wheel present ..pictures may help

Hi Keith, Thanks for your reply,I have too big a gap on the sprocket side, and when I tighten the nut it runs out of thread before it fully tightens so only partially locks. I am pretty sure it is a spacer issue [obviously] and It must be the sprocket side two because they are off wire wheels but I have tried packing with washers, no joy, ideally I could do with trying a couple from alloys and then get some made up or try and get some from Ebay. I suppose just knowing the size for alloy wheel spacers would be a big help. Thanks. Sean.
