Dust Off Motorcycle covers

Have any inmates got one ( or more ) of these covers ? I have one cover but is an all weather one and a real pain when I only ever use it in the Garage. So went Google ( she knows everything !! ) and these popped up. Really the only ones that did, the rest are either cheap plastic or All Weather Heavy monstrosities.

Only want to keep the freakin dust of them, dont rain inside the shed

I bought a few Aldi bike covers and they are brilliant, I also have a bike bubble that keep a set temperature, humidity and trickle charges the batter, I live right near the sea and am worried about the salty atmosphere, these are the supa doper!

You can just see it at the back, the RGV's in there



With the Harris not moving for a while and stuck in Leeds I have taken this as an opportunity to buy parts and chuck them in the box, the shippers have been brill! One of the things is a bigger bubble, I have bought a this one, 5.4m x 2.4m reckon I'll get 8 bikes in the bugger

Tis true they will absorb a small amount, mine are all loosely draped over and are intended purely as dust covers.

IMO Unless you have temperature controlled heating or dehumidifying any commercial dust cover will do the same.

I found out the hard way using outdoor covers inside in the damp and cold makes the bike sweat something terrible

I second the Aldi recommendation here. They were in my local store last night. Be quick, once there gone there gone as they say.....?
I might even buy one myself for the second bike.
At the moment I'm using an excellent 5 year old ex Hein Gericke product, Cost £19.99 and fits the ST a treat. Wraps right under both wheels and completely shrouds the whole bike. 100% waterproof still, but, as my bike lives outside, condensation is rife on certain mornings recently. Very lightweight too, and packs up into the size of a very small pouch if needed, about 8"x 8".

asda flat sheets and a heater tube, no dust, no condensation, sorted (in your average pre fab garage)

Nothing namby pamby for my bikes, get the leaf blower out and the dust is soon gone, followed by some nice soapy water a clean rinse and another blow off, then ride.

Did a search on tne forum and found this old thread rather than start a new one...

I have just had my tank returned from a certain, well known, paint spraying firm (no names, no pack drill) as the clear coat had gone all orange peeley on the top of the tank only. They said it was due to storing the bike under a cover and ethanol fumes? I would like to point out that I only had it under the cover twice and for no more than a couple of days each time and not until the bike had totally cooled off. The cover is supposedly a breathable, paperish type, material and very thin - meerly there to keep the dust off the bike while it's in the garage. The paint job was reasonably new (March this year) but by May signs were showing especially after being out and about during this summers very hot weather... it just got worse and worse until it became embarrassing to leave it anywhere - hence I sent it back. Even now, I can still see the orange peel under a new, clear coat so I'm not impressed at all.

Anywho, my question is; is it accetable to not be able to cover your bike due to ethanol fumes ruining the clear coat? If I cover it and it does the same thing my warranty is void apparently!
