Oil Leak ??

Any suggestions appreciated.
I have a slight oil leak, a drip or 2 noticed building along the bottom of the sprocket cover and on the curve of the clutch cable. :(
Also notice some around the top of the gearbox so maybe dripping down.
Can't see that the pressure switch is leaking but hard to tell as new clean oil ?
Any obvious or prone places :?:
thanks

Just had a look.
The alternator wires are wet and can't see a grommet ?
Have wiped clean and will ride tomorrow and check, looking promising :)
If so, I guess it's just new gasket and grommet ?
Will advise tomorrow :(

probably leaking through the wiring grommet you will need to seal the grommet & the wires will a good quality silicone making sure everything is totally oil free. also check the push rod oil seal

Ok thanks
Is the pushrod seal an O ring
There was a broken Oring when I took the cover off but could not work out how it fitted, even had a look at the manual and still can't ? :?:

the pshush rod has a popper seal. the only o ring is behind the sprocket spacer part no 92055-035

How frustrating !
Just when I thought that every leak was fixed ...
Have noticed a small amount of oil building up on the top of the gearbox, when I put the bike on the side stand this then runs down behind the sprocket cover and underneath the frame and cover.
I cannot see any leak coming from the oil pressure switch or chain tensioner tunnel, looks like it is coming from further back ??
Any ideas, can oil come from the breather housing ?
Thanks for any help :(

Breather housing/oil seperater can leak - it has a large "O" ring where it meets the main casing..... and it's not unknown for it to blow oil into the airbox too!

That was the cause of a slight leak I had, easily remedied.

Alternator loom is common and it is not always just the grommet. The sleeving on the wires break down and start to "wick". Full kits are available from leading suppliers :D

Hmmm not sure why it would make its way on top of the gearbox? Sound more like breather or oil pressure switch o ring.

Good shout Mr Pigford,
Changed the large breather O Ring, no more oil on the top of the gearbox :D
Just a slight weep on the alternater wire grommet now

Process of elimination... As for alternator grommet, oil can wick out of the cloth wire cover, I just sealed mine using RTV hi-temp silicon (from Debbens, etc), also from the grommet itself. Need to clean the area with brake cleaner (or similar) and seal with silicon stuff - I also used a new COMETIC gasket - worked a treat as bike still dry after +500 miles round trip to YORK Rally :!:
