Dave.

Thanks for the advice, I have looked on their site and it looks very good.

I have asked for a total delivered price to the Uk. I am not 100% what carbs I have and so I have asked them.

Thanks everyone for their help and advice.

I have added two photos of the two different sets of Carbs that I have got.

As you can see one has a connecting hole and caps, the other doesn't have a connecting hole and didn't have any caps.

Is it as suggested that one might be for the 1100R2? If it is maybe a previous owner upgraded them.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

Stu

Here are some 1000J carbs for comparison. Going to be vaguely similar but there are many variants of the CV including those used by other manufacturers.
With plug and also have the holes as you would expect.

In case the wired George option ^ the USA is prohibitively expensive due to shipping and core fee. Is there anywhere in the Uk that do a similar thing?

An update,but more questions.

The carbs were ultrasonic cleaned, and fitted them Fri of last week and it fired on all 4 cylinders and sounded good.

I left it overnight and noticed a petrol leak. I looked at it yesterday and changed the fuel line and if I turn the petrol cock to prime petrol leaks from the rear of the carbs. Is this because it is on prime or is there an issue.

prime fills the carbs and relies on the float valves closing to stop the flow sounds like one or more of your valves are passing,maybe not be a problem when tap is in normal position.

There is an issue. The static fuel level is too high. When it floods it usually does the airbox first. Just my opinion but i wouldnt bother setting the static fuel height. Run the engine and with a piece of clear plastic tube on the drain boss, open the drain screws and see what the dynamic fuel level is like. If its correct then you either have; dirt / hair / snott on the float valve and seat or a badly sealing float valve arrangement or just as likely; the 'O' ring around the seat is passing fuel where the seat presses into the body.

This may help, may not. Its pretty old now and very grainy but you get the idea.

You may well find the bike performs perfectly with the tap in the on position as prime is never used unless the carbs have been drained it's not a problem

I have just had my ZRX1100 back after several weeks at local bike shop, long tale, but won't repeat it, anyway when I parked bike up, fuel was pissing out the carb to head rubber and it was hunting all over place;

I kept getting messages saying vacuum tap was knackered but when I drained carbs it stopped, and anyway when I lifted tank, no leaks, so it all pointed to air leak;

As I suspected, I had a warped carb rubber, now its been replaced, all ok and running great having had most of the shims done, the bike has only done 4K and spent all its life indoors;
