Here we go again
Should a late 1974 Z1a have seams on the outside of the headlight brackets per Z1b or plain as per the 1972 Z1
Can anyone shed any light please
Thanks

hi Cas, same as z1 i think.dave Marsden's book shows new part numbers for 74 z1a 44033-071 lhs and 44034-071 rhs. then for 75 z1b 44033-072 lhs and 44034-072 rhs...i think the z1b type remained the same to z1000a2 at least and have a spot welded seam Vs smooth before that. I'm sure someone will know for certain though.

The parts manuals definitely point to this, I was just wondering if Kawasaki started to fit the later seamed ones to late model Z1A before they came out with the Z1B?
